Quarter Horse Racing

There are many different ways to bet on horse racing. One of the more unfamiliar ways to participate in horse betting is by wagering quarter horse racing. Essentially, quarter horse racing is when all of the horses in a given race enter into an all out burst of speed once the gates open.
From there, every horse basically uses that burst of speed to carry them from the opening gate to the finish line. At the end of the race, bettors will wager on which horse stuck its neck out the furthest in order to claim victory.
Within quarter horse racing there are several factors to consider, none of which are racing style. Since the race is an all out sprint to see who the best is, there is no strategy as in picking horses to come from behind and win the race. Chances are, if a horse starts in the back, that is where they will end in a quarter race. Another area to consider is class.
Class – When handicapping horse racing, class is the most important aspect to analyze. For all intents and purposes, class is the notion of producing winners, a horses ability to win a race and to make a race ultra competitive.
What’s more, class when it comes to quarter horse racing is different from your classic definition of the category in which a horse is placed. Rather class in quarter racing involves not only the horse in question, but its sire and damn as well as jockey, trainer, owner and farm it trains on.
Handicappers researching class in the quarter horse field are looking for not only the horse with the best winning percentage, but how strong its breeding ground is. A horse with an excellent breeding and training background stands to be a horse with betting on consistently.
