Top 3 Horses To Watch
Posted September 10, 2010 – 1:56 am in: Horse Racing Betting 101
Here are three horses worth watching for the rest of the 2010 season when developing your horse betting racing strategy. These horses can be followed whether you’re betting online or in person as each have placed as winners or across the board all season long.
- Mama Brown – Based out of Aqueduct Race Track, Mama Brown has been a strong pace runner for a few months now. Fans may be cautious at first when betting on the philly, as she is a slow starter. Nevertheless, she has proven to be one of the best horses to wager upon at the Aqueduct in recent memory.
For instance, during a race in April, Mama Brown started off in the back of the pack during the fifth race; however she was able to rebound with less than two and a quarter lengths to go to finish third. The feat was amazing for Mama Brown as after the lackluster start, many believed she would not recover and do as well as she did.
- It’s About Time – Gulfstream Park is the home of It’s About Time, the stallion who similar to Mama Brown, is a slow starter. Back in April, when it last raced at Gulfstream Park, the stallion was eighth and more than three lengths behind after half a mile. However, It’s About Time utilized the steep turns at Gulfstream and was able to go wide and pass four horses. It’s About Time would end up just narrowly missing the victory, as it finished second by a nose.
- Stormy Cruise – For a Canadian feel, we go to Woodbine racetrack in Toronto Canada. Fan favorite Stormy Cruise closes out our three horses to watch this year, with a rather strong effort in its race on April second. Comparable to It’s About Time, Stormy Cruise was able to pass an astounding six horses after being behind by three lengths. She’d finish third by a nose.
